Attendance
Regular and punctual attendance is crucial if your child is to make the most of the educational opportunities available to them.
School is important and that is the message that should be conveyed to your child - once understood it will stay with them for life.
If your child is unable to attend school we ask that you contact us as soon as possible. As a school we take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously so there, should a pupil fail to arrive in school and no message has been, received Mrs Kingston (our administrator) will contact you and ask the reason for their non-attendance.
New government regulations came into force in September 2013 and do not allow schools to routinely authorise any leave of absence in term time, unless there are very exceptional circumstances. This means that we will not be authorising holidays during term time. As a school our attendance target is 96.5%. We ask for your support in helping us meet this.
The updated attendance policy can be found here.
